Dissertation: closed-loop I/O observability and online optimization for AI and agentic workloads.
AgentStage: staged data during LLM thinking time into a tiered node-local cache, for a 1.74× average speedup (up to 2.34×) at under 1% overhead on NCSA DeltaAI.
GDSight: per-operation attribution for GPUDirect Storage, pinning pathologies such as 4× device amplification and 22× tail inflation.
Built DFAnalyzer for layer-by-layer analysis of DFTracer traces.
Co-authored DFTracer, a data-flow tracer for AI-driven workflows with 1.44× lower runtime overhead and 1.3–7.1× smaller traces than Score-P, Recorder, and Darshan.
WisIO: found 144× more I/O bottlenecks than existing tools, 11× faster.
Online data-movement optimization for distributed deep learning (under review).
Diagnosing and fixing deep learning I/O bottlenecks (under review).

Argonne National Laboratory
Advisor: Huihuo Zheng
Profiled Transformer and DLRM data loading on the A100-based Polaris supercomputer with DLIO, finding access phases that tune Lustre striping and transfer sizes.
Industry experience
VeriPark2011–2020
Banking software · Istanbul and Madrid
Consultant, Mobile Applications2019–2020
Madrid
Handed the mobile team over to its new manager and oversaw its projects through the transition.
Deputy Manager, Mobile Applications2015–2019
Reported to the VP
Turned the Mobile Applications division into one of the company’s best-performing teams, with clear roles and development, delivery, and quality standards.
Hired and mentored 20 engineers; ran quarterly reviews and a learning path for each.
Designed a native mobile framework, “one language for Android and iOS,” that became the core of every mobile project.
Led delivery of Ziraat Mobil, Ziraat Bank’s mobile banking app: 3M+ monthly users at 99.9% availability, with customer satisfaction up 50%.
Bankkart Mobil, another of the division’s apps, won a People’s Choice Award in Mobile.
Ran project delivery and incident management for apps in production.
Team Lead, Banking Solutions2013–2015
Played a key role in one of the company’s most demanding branch transformation and digitalization projects, working with business and design teams on UX.
Coached engineers on VeriPark’s framework and standards, and ran internal sessions from HTTP and REST to .NET and JavaScript.
AgentStage: Exploiting LLM Thinking for Data Staging in Scientific Agents
eScience ’26 · Conference paper · First author
optimize
Uses an agent’s thinking time to stage data from cold storage into a tiered node-local cache (memory, then NVMe) before the agent asks for it.
A Multifaceted Approach to Automated I/O Bottleneck Detection for HPC Workloads
